We believe everyone deserves to age with dignity, independence, and reliable, compassionate support. At Wellness Checks 4U, we empower seniors and adults with disabilities to live safely and confidently at home through wellness checks, caregiving, adult day services, and transportation. We provide families peace of mind. Care should feel personal, not clinical.

For Mom
For Mom
Wellness Checks 4U was born from personal experience. While caring for my mother, I witnessed firsthand how deeply isolation impacts seniors — especially those living with dementia. I learned that safety alone is not enough; presence, interaction, and compassionate oversight are essential to maintaining dignity and quality of life.
Not every family requires full-time caregiving. Sometimes what’s needed most is an extra set of caring eyes and ears — someone who shows up consistently with love, patience, communication, and understanding.
That is why Wellness Checks 4U exists.

I didn’t realize while working at Boeing Aerospace when I volunteered to manage a shutdown project in Wichita Kansas, it would be my 1st introduction to Alzheimer’s. No one in my department all living in Huntington Beach, Ca. would ever volunteer to a 16-month assignment in Wichita, Kansas. What my manager and team didn't know was that I was born in Wichita, Kansas and my family still lived there. I would be able to spend quality time daily with my grandmother and see family members, it was a win/win for me, a long-term paid vacation.
After only 2 months in Kansas, I found out my mother’s sister had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and my cousins were learning as they go. One year later when I returned home to California, I found out my mother was also diagnosed with Alzheimer Dementia, and this is where my personal journey began.
Prior to mom's diagnosis I landed my dream job for NASA at the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) in Pasadena, Ca. as a contract negotiator for the MARS2020 Program. So, in order for me to continue climbing the ultimate career ladder I decided to move mom into my home to help the situation. As a caregiver, this was my 1st of many mistakes. Moving mom from the comfort of her home into an unfamiliar place where she spent over 14 hours a day alone was 100% for my benefit only. What she really needed was companionship, attention and understanding of her situation. I loved my job and did not want to make any changes to my lifestyle, never considering what the transition was doing to mom mentally.
Two years later I realized it was not working, I could see the decline, and I knew I had to either look into assisted living to satisfy my needs or take the time to do what was best for my mom.
I retired from NASA and built a home for mom and I in Dallas, Texas. Arriving March 1 during COVID. I spent a year in the house with mom really learning about Dementia and caregiver needs. By the time the world opened up all I wanted to do was drive, drive anywhere, see someone, anyone. I needed help with mom, someone to just go by and check to make sure she was ok while I drove around getting to know Texas but my only option was to hire a caregiver. Every company I contacted had a minimum of 2 days a week and 2 hrs. a day and this is when “Wellness Checks 4u” was created.
I was paying someone to sit and watch TV with mom because once small talk was over, dishes were washed and she helped mom “remake” her bed, there was nothing left on the caregiver package plan I needed for her to do. Even though I only needed 3 of the 12 items in my package, I still had to pay for all 12 services not needed.
After 4 caregiving sessions I decided what was really needed, was caregiver support. Customized service for caregivers like myself. God gave me resources, influence and a voice
